Medical Care Unit

This 36 bedded unit provides nursing care for conditions which are related to acute and chronic illnesses that do not necessarily require any surgery. The unit is also often the ward in which Intensive Care Unit patients are placed once they no longer require close monitoring or one-on-one care. This is an important step for an ICU patients recovery process. The unit is staffed with a lower patient to nurse ratio and focuses on internal illness and diseases. There is however the possibility that patients in this ward are co-managed by both a physician and surgeon simultaneously.
